Moving from an older direct Mac installation
Do not erase the old installation or database if the Store edition initially appears empty: it uses a separate sandbox. Preserve the old data and verified recovery backups. Test backup restoration and reconcile counts, balances, documents and branding before retiring the old installation. A full-history portable export is a separate migration record, not a recovery backup.
Before contacting support
- Stop repeated restore or import attempts.
- Preserve the live database, its WAL/SHM sidecars and the most recent verified backup.
- Record the StoreCrow version, operating system, time and exact error.
- Do not send tenant data unless a secure transfer path is agreed.
